SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION
1.0 BACKGROUND
The consultation exercise on the Cathedral Square Project was undertaken with the aims of:

• sharing some key information across the Diocese in relation to the Cathedral Square project.
• consulting further with, and seeking feedback from parishes in relation to key questions arising from the Cathedral Square Project.
• increasing and spreading local ownership of the Cathedral Square Project across the Diocese.

PARISH CONSULTATION AND ‘ENVISIONING DAY’

21 parish and wider groupings completed their discussions on the ‘6 key questions’ in time for their feedback to be put together for the Envisioning Day on 26 March.   The summary of those responses is now on the website for you to read, with its title taken from one comment: “A place which Jesus would have loved”.  You will see the responses were overwhelmingly positive, but with some searching questions also being posed, all of which we promise to reflect on, if we haven’t already.

ST NICHOLAS CENTRE

Plans for the Centre continue to develop, prior to submitting a formal planning application.   We have available a power-point showing the latest version of these, which is available to parish champions on request – the file is too large to email, so we will need to post it to you on a CD.
